A Clients Contaminated Land Requirement

Lumière Property have recently delivered a client’s requirement to identify potential contaminated land opportunities across a large area of the south east of England and are delighted to announce that the project was a success for us and our client.

As far as we are aware, this is the first time that software technology has been used to identify this type of opportunity. Furthermore, when we began to explore the requirement in detail, we realised that the contaminated land registers that local authorities are required to maintain by law are nearly always empty.

This meant that we needed to design alternative ways of identifying all forms of contaminated land which included pinpointing several thousand good quality sites across Kent and Surrey. And now we have an algorithm that can be deployed anywhere in England to give instant results.

As part of this project, we also designed and implemented a marketing strategy to target the sites we had identified through the algorithm. This was an exciting opportunity to efficiently and effectively make contact with land and property owners to spark interest.

As responses were received, these were passed on to our client as warm leads for them to take forward using their expertise in appraisal and negotiation of these types of sites.
